Governor chairs high-level security review meeting
ITANAGAR, Mar 26:Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) organised a day long interaction programme for those unions affiliated with Trade Union of Arunachal Pradesh at a city hotel here today.
Addressing the function, BMS Organising Secretary North East Region, Sunil Kirwai while stating that Sangh is a non political trade union, informed that it was formed with a motto to protect workers’ rights and interest.
Divulging that there are 171 lakh workers enrolled under the BMS today, Kirwai compared the value of workers as with the soldiers defending our motherland and pointed out that workers are playing vital role in developing the country’s economy.
Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APB & OCWWB) Chairman and BMS state Convenor, Jalley Sonam in his address urged all non-affiliated-trade unions to get registered under BMS immediately.
“We have been doing our best for the development of the workers community of the state. After assuming the charge of the board, I have been rigorously conducting mass programmes to hear and solve the issue of the workers community,” Sonam said.
Arunachal Pradesh Workers Union President and BMS Co Convenor Tadang Yangfo spoke on various issues concerning the welfare of workers community and termed them (workers) as the biggest force of development and builders of the nation.
Representatives of various trade unions also shared their opinions, views and gave their suggestions for welfare of workers community.
