ITANAGAR, Dec 22: Arunachal Unit of the Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh has demanded that inquiry be initiated and action be taken against CDPO, Ziro for  her alleged  misuse of  position in misguiding Anganwadi workers and helpers.
Addressing a press conference today here at Press Club, President, Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh Arunachal Unit, Yasi Sonam stated that CDPO Lower Subansiri circulated a voice/audio clip on November 21 last urging all the serving  Anganwadi workers and helpers of Ziro-I ICDS Project for attending a fresh walk-in interview on November 23 last, where she also informed that those  failing to qualify in the interview will be terminated from service.
“Such an interview without any written order from a government official is illegal. How can a CDPO just call an interview, that too through a voice clip?, ” questioned Sonam. And when the BMS team encountered the said voice clip, the CDPO instantly changed the proposed interview into a training programme to be held from November 23 within no time, claimed Sonam.
Moreover, CDPO also forced  at least 12 Anganwadi workers to sign a purported apology letter where it has been mentioned that President- All Arunachal Pradesh Anganwadi Workers’ and Helpers’ Union, Yasi Sonam has misguided them that CDPO Ziro  was going to conduct the said walk-in interview to regularize their job and terminate the underperformers. It was also mentioned in the letter that the Anganwadi workers of Ziro-I have misunderstood the two-day training programme as walk-in-interview.

Demanding justice, BMS Arunachal Unit has submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner Lower Subansiri and SP for immediate inquiry and action against the concerned CDPO, stated the President.  Further, Secretary All Arunachal Pradesh Anganwadi Workers’ Union of Ziro-I Unit, Padu Puming claimed that they have been forced to sign the letter on emotional ground despite their objections.
CDPO-Ziro, couldn’t be contacted for her comment on the issue.
