PASIGHAT, Oct 1: Spearheaded by NGO Ayang, a Blood Donation Camp was organized today here at the Bakin Pertin General Hospital on the occasion of the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day in collaboration with Department of Health & Family Welfare.
With the motto of ‘Be a Hero to Someone in Need’, the camp was an initiative of the founder chairperson of Ayang, Aini Taloh, also popularly known as ‘Ayi’’(Mother), a recipient of many national recognitions for her selfless service in voluntary blood donation. Lauding the spirit of the youth in particular and the general public for joining the movement, Taloh extended gratitude to the donors and the BPGH fraternity led by Joint DHS, Dr. D. Raina for the camp’s success.
A total of 38 units of blood were collected and 4 units of blood were processed and separated into blood components. DIPRO
