ITANAGAR, Jun 18 : The Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Arunachal unit joined the anti-China protest and burnt the effigy of Chinese President Xi Jingping and also destroyed Chinese products here today at state BJP Headquarters. The protest was held to express anguish over the Galwan Valley incident in Ladakh where at least 20 Indian soldiers were martyred on June 15 last.
Joining the call for boycotting China-made goods in the wake of the incident, BJYM Arunachal today resolved to boycott Chinese products, informed President-BJYM(AP) Ram Tajo.
We have burnt the effigy of Chinese President Xi Jinping and also burnt many electronic items made in China, he added while informing that BJYM will intensify the Anti-China Campaign in Arunachal to boycott all imported products from China.
Earlier, BJYM also extended its condolence to all the soldiers who was martyred in the line of duty in the Galwan valley.
Speaking on the occasion, Spokesperson, State BJP, Dominic Tadar also warned the Chinese government to stop claiming Arunachal as its territory. ‘Arunachal is part and parcel of India, and at this hour every denizen is standing with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.'
When asked about Arunachal's border with China, Tadar said 'Our Indian Army is on high alert and ready to tackle any situation.'
