ITANAGAR, Mar 13: State BJP is most likely to announce tickets for all 60 Assembly seats and 2 Lok Sabha seats before March 18 next, informed President Tapir Gao here today at party office.
He further informed that more than 200 applications have been received for the 60 assembly seats and two names for the two Lok Sabha seats. Tickets will be allotted to the members after the meeting of parliamentary board at Delhi within few days, he added while informing that the winning prospects and party discipline will be the most significant criteria for allotting party tickets.
When asked about any pre-poll alliance, Gao categorically said that BJP will fight the election on its own in all the 60 Assembly seats. “Our target is to conquer all 62 seats, 60 state Assembly and two Lok Sabha,” he said.
Responding to query, Gao said development and ‘Sab ka Sath Sab ka Vikas’ will be the prime objective of this election. Disclosing the names of candidates for LS seats, the BJP chief informed that incumbent MoS Kiren Rijiju’s name has been listed for Western Parliament and he himself will contest for the Eastern constituency.
State president also divulged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and national president of the party Amit Shah will be the star campaigners and both will visit Arunachal soon.
