ITANAGAR, Apr 6:Along with the rest of the country, the Bharatiya Janata Party state unit celebrated its 38th Foundation day ‘Sthapna Diwas” here today at its party headquarters under the chairmanship of its Vice President Tame Phassang. hundreds of party workers, incumbent Ministers, MLAs, former MLAs and others joined  the celebration.
 
Earlier, the celebration started with flag hoisting followed by floral tribute to founder leaders like Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Deen Dayal Upadhyay.
 
Addressing the gathering, Minister for Power, Tamiyo Taga briefed the history on foundation of BJP in the country. He also recalled the contribution of their founder leaders who formed the right wing with an aim and ideology of Nation first . The Minister, further appealed the party workers to continue their selfless services for the development of the nation and state.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson of ‘Sthapna Diwas’ and Party Vice President Tame Phassang also elaborated on the struggles and success of the BJP since its inception.  Although in its initial stage the party won only two seats in the 1984 general election, however with many ups and downs it grew in strength and now BJP has its government in more than 20 states and ruling in the Centre. 
 
‘The journey of BJP itself is an inspiration’ said Phassang while appealing the party workers to continue their zeal for all round development of the state. He further urged the karayakartas to reach the unreached and to share information about all the available schemes of BJP government, so that all could get the benefits.
 
Among others, General Secretary Jarpum Gamlin, former Minister Tangor Tapak, Adviser to Chief Minister  Tai Tagak ,former MLA Tapen Siga also spoke on the occasion.
