ITANAGAR, Nov 19: Hundreds of Bharatiya Janata Mahila Morcha (BJMM) members participated in a two -wheeler rally  organized to commemorate the 190th birth anniversary of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi.
Speaking to the media, State President, BJMM Tadar Yayum Bengia informed that the rally was organized to create  awareness on women empowerment. Rani Lakshmibai led her army contingent and fought bravely against the British. She is a  symbol of bravery and inspiration for all women to stand strong for her rights .
General Secretary state BJMM, Techi Momta  added 'Prime Minister Narendra Modi  has introduced many schemes for women  to empower them  and  this rally is to create awareness regarding the same.
Earlier, the  bike rally that started from Naharlagun , culminated at Nyokum Lapang ground Itanagar.
