Itanagar, Sep 30: Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) today felicitated the best performing Child Development Project Officers (CDPO) of the state here at Raj Bhavan. Along with it, he also felicitated the state’s Department of Women & Child Development for successful implementation of various schemes and programmes for women and children.
Governor said that Poshan Abhiyan is of paramount significance and has to be executed with a missionary zeal. Being the foot soldiers of the National Nutrition Mission, CDPOs are the cutting edge of the programme, he said. Congratulating the officers and officials of WCD for the successful conclusion of Poshaan Maah, Governor called upon all stakeholders to put in concerted efforts to ensure that both mother and child healths are taken due care. He also emphasized on awareness about nutrition including breastfeeding.
Dondup Pema, Tawang, Tenjin Chomu, Lumla-Zimithang, Jaya Taba, Itanagar, Ponung Moyong, Naharlagun, Bahi Koyu, Aalo (East), Bime Zirdo Mara, Likhabali, Jikom Doye, Roing, Pakkar Nomuk, Yingkiong, Wihong Tangha, Namsai, Shillakanni Namchum, Lekhang, Wemkhum Khilak, Khagam and Nemngam Khumhun Tanha, Bordumsa-Diyum were felicitated on the occasion.
