Department of Rural Development, Power and APEDA came together under one single roof for convergence of the three important flagship schemes i.e the PMAY, SAUBHAGYA and UJJALA schemes during celebration of Gram Shakti Abhiyan. Main highlights of the day were giving away of cash component to beneficiaries under PMAY (G) , providing service connections by Power department and sale of LED bulbs by APEDA. Tawang block was adjudged the best performing block within the district under Gram Shakti Abhiyan.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Tawang Tsering Tashi expressed gratitude to the officers from administration and various departments for the effort being put in towards achieving the targets set under the selected schemes at identified villages and exhorted everyone to continue with same zeal and enthusiasm. He also reflected on the importance of participation of GBs, PRI members and villagers for successful implementation of schemes, selection of right beneficiaries, awareness regarding new policies and programmes etc.
At Jang sub division, 5 households of Khet village were also provided service connection under SAUBHAGYA scheme.
Further camps are still running at various villages and every step is being made by the officers, staffers with support from PRI members and GBs to bring services at the doorstep of villagers.
