BHALUKPONG, Jul 11: Parliamentary Secretary, PHED, Economic & Statistic, Kumsi Sidisow while attending the 1st ever Umang Festival here appealed all Divyangans to join hands and become a part of the state’s development.
“God created all of us equally but due to certain reasons a few are unable to cope with the normal activities,” he said adding but now technology has changed everything and with the help of devices and equipment the specially-abled people can chase their dreams, become skilled and live a productive life.
He motivated them saying that “you are not handicapped or disabled but you are differently-abled and special people. “ Take your disability as a challenge and show the world that you are a part of society and not less than a normal person," Sidisow encouraged.
While interacting with the gathering, he told them about various schemes and polices initiated for the welfare of Divyangans by the Central and state governments and assured every possible support from his side.
The programme was organised by All Arunachal Pradesh Divyangan Unemployed Youth Association.
Bhalukpong EAC Tamo Riba, SDPO SN Paicheliupia also addressed the gathering and took part in the various competitions such as literary, cultural, games and sports conducted to mark the occasion.
