PASIGHAT, May 13: As a part of timely operationalization of domestic flight connectivity with rest of the country from Advance Landing Ground, Pasighat, official from Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) under Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India made a ground assessment of state police security personnel required to be deployed here in the Pasighat Airport today.
Regional Director, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, Guwahati, Gurvinder Singh, discussed the state police security personnel required with the Dy. Commissioner, Tamiyo Tatak and Superintendent of Police, Pasighat and carried out a basic manpower survey in accordance with the BCAS Hqrs office memorandum dated 29th December 2016 and 11th April 2017 respectively for onward submission to BCAS Hqrs New Delhi for further disposal.
Singh declined to comment much on the assessment report by saying that; he is not authorized to speak to the media. However, he said that, BCAS is also of the view to speed up the operationalization process of domestic flight services from Pasighat ALG.
Meanwhile, sources here today hinted of much awaited flight services to start from 21st May next and the inaugural ceremony will also be attended by Chief Minister, Pema Khandu and other officials and representatives from Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt of India. It is worth mentioning here that, the test landing for the same was conducted by Alliance Air recently and people of this frontier state, especially from Middle Arunachal districts like East Siang, Siang, Upper Siang, West Siang, Lower Siang, Lower Dibang Valley and parts of upper Assam under Dhemaji districts are eagerly looking forward for the services.
In connection with the proposed civilian flight service inaugural ceremony on 21st May next, the District Administration, Pasighat has called for a co-ordination meeting of HoDs, PRI leaders, Councillors, political parties and media persons etc on 15th May, Tuesday next at DC’s conference hall.
