ITANAGAR, Feb 19: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) today visited the Naharlagun police station to conduct an enquiry regarding the dead body of a woman which was found floating on Barapani river near Helipad, Naharlagun, a press release issued by it said.
The OC Naharlagun police station D Dolum informed that the body has been sent for post mortem. The Commission requested the law enforcing agency to complete and expedite the investigation process, so that justice may be delivered at the earliest. APSCW expressed its sorrow and anguish over the occurrence of such incidents time and again.
It extended condolences to the family of the departed soul and requested all to cooperate with the police.
