Roing, Aug 6: At least 500 kilograms of banned plastic bags were seized and 38 shopkeepers penalised for defaulting and violating orders during a raid carried by the Lower Dibang Valley administration.
The raid was consequent upon the ban of plastic bags of less than 50 micron in the district by the Deputy Commissioner, Lower Dibang Valley.
A vigilance squad led by Executive Magistrate Dr. Hage Atho assisted by police personnel raided various commercial establishments of Roing township.  DIPRO
