ITANAGAR, Apr 5:The Capital police have arrested three persons belonging to a cash management party responsible for loading cash in ATMs for misappropriation of money to the tune of Rupees 50 lakhs from different State Bank of India ATMs in the Naharlagun area.
On receipt of a written FIR from one Nazirul Islam, Risk Manager for Radiant Cash Management Services Pvt. Ltd, for misappropriation of cash to the tune of Rs.50 lakhs from different SBI ATMs in Naharlagun area, a case vide Naharlagun P.S. FIR No.48/18 u/s 381/408/420/120(B) IPCdtd 24/03/2018 was registered and investigation taken up.
During investigation, the police team led by SI K.Dev under the supervision of Officer-in-charge of PS Naharlagun Inspector N. Riba, SDPO Naharlagun M. Bui and SP Itanagar Capital Complex Sagar Singh Kalsi analysed the documents pertaining to the crime. Finally, it was discovered that it is the cash management party that has committed the offence and subsequently, the team arrested accused namely, Bultan Boruah, Nabakrishna Gogoi and Indrajit Barhoi from Assam, who were custodians of ATMs in the township area and were responsible for loading cash in the ATMs and have allegedly misappropriated the said amount of Rs. 50 lakhs.
Investigating Officer SI K Dev, has further arrested accused Sultan-Al-Mahmud and one Porakmoni Das, AGM and Assistant Manager of Radiant Cash Management Services Pvt. Ltd respectively, from Guwahati, Assam, who were also involved in the misappropriation. A sum of Rs.13 lakhs which was kept in the safe hands of the accused in Assam has also been recovered by the police team. Further investigation is on to recover more amount as well as to nab any other involved persons, a release from the SP office informed.
