ITANAGAR, Jun 29:The 12 hours bandh called by the Lower Subansiri Trans Arunachal Highway Land Affected People Forum (ALSTAHLAPF) in both Kamle and Lower Subansiri District seeking immediate construction of the stretch of the Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) from Potin to Ziro along with other demands passed off peacefully today.
The bandh was supported by all sections of people in both the districts and no any untoward incident was reported. The Kamle district headquarters Raga and Lower Subansiri district HQ Ziro and Hapoli town wore a deserted look as the entire stretch of Highway from Potin to Bopi closed down and the official activities including private establishments remained closed all day.
Meanwhile extending gratitude to citizens for voluntarily supporting the bandh call, the forum urged the government to come out with a clear cut policy to address their demands and threatened to intensify their movement.
