ITANAGAR, Jun 19: All East Kameng District Students Union (AEKDSU)  has deferred its proposed 36-hour district bandh call after assurance from the state government to fulfill its six point charter of demands.
 President AEKDSU, Chakang Yangda informed that on June 18 a meeting was held at civil secretariat, Itanagar regarding their charter of demands between the union and team East Kameng headed by Sports, Youth Affairs & WRD Minister Mama Natung on behalf of the state government in presence of MLAs Goruk Pordung, Hayeng Mangfi and Tapuk Taku. The meeting was witnessed by representatives from ANYA, AAPSU and NESO.
During the meeting, the state government assured to post a full-fledged ADC and five other administrative officers to the district.
Regarding the maintenance of Pacha-Hydro Project, the Executive Engineer of Pacha-Hydro Project, Seppa division has submitted a written document to start the renovation work by June 26, added Yangda. Other demands include posting of TGT and PGT teachers in various schools of the district, installation and functioning of blood bank, to set a time bound enquiry on incomplete road from Seppa to Chayang Tajo, and solving the case of Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Bebo Colony.

AEKDSU President said, the union would resume its deferred bandh call if its demands are not met within three months. ES Newsdesk
