BOMDILA, Apr 4: The Balemu police on Saturday arrested two persons who were bringing high quality brown sugar (heroin) from Assam at the Sluice gate border.
46 vials of high-quality brown sugar (heroin) weighing about 55 grams were recovered from their possession.
The arrested persons were identified as both Sonam Gombu and Sonu Rai, both residents of Kalaktang in West Kameng district.
Following input from a source, OC PS Balemu, and his team intercepted the duo at the Sluice Gate border and caught the duo red-handed with the banned substance.
A case under NDPS Act has been registered at PS Balemu and further investigation is on.
