ITANAGAR, Jul 11:Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India to carry out re-inspection of 23 Homoeopathic Medical colleges of the country, said Dr. Mohan Giri, who paid a surprise visit to inspect the North East Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital (NEHMCH) here on Tuesday.

Dr.  Giri, who represents the Ministry of AYUSH as Inspector, said the Ministry after taking over the regime of the governing body of the Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH), has made mandatory for all the AYUSH run medical colleges to strengthen its treatment system and also the healthcare system with OPD/IPD facilities to the locality and masses as per convenience.

So far, there are around 180 Homoeopathic Medical colleges in the country and inspection is being carried out in almost all but re-inspection is being taken up for 23 medical colleges which include one of Arunachal Pradesh which has been completed and the inspection report is being sent to the Ministry as per guidelines.

North East Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital (NEHMCH)  Principal Ramanuja Santra, Chairman Bulen Teli, faculty and other staffers of the college were present during the surprise inspection which continued till late in the evening.
