ITANAGAR, Sep 30: Along with the rest of the nation, Urban ICDS Project Itanagar, led by CDPO Jaya Taba organized a series of Awareness Programmes on Nutrition, Health & Hygiene and Sanitation during the month-long celebration of ‘Rhastriya Poshan Maah’, which had the theme ‘Sahi Poshan Desh Roshan’.
The concluding programme was conducted today at Hokka village, Jullang and during the day-long programme, a team led Secretary WCD by Niharika Rai, Director-WCD TP Loyi, Deputy Director (HQ) , Nyapi Ringu, Deputy Director, ICDS Cell, Yupia Aryoma Lowangcha and AE PHE & WS Tad Logi visited the Anganwadi Centre at Hokka. They interacted with the pre-school kids and pregnant & lactating mothers of the centre. Emphasizing the importance of proper nutrition, Secretary, WCD distributed fruits to the pregnant & lactating mothers. Further, the team also planted fruit-bearing trees in the premises of the Anganwadi Centre.
Later, coinciding with the on-going Swachhta Mission with the theme ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’, a mass cleanliness drive in and around the Hokka market area was also conducted. Newsdesk
