KANUBARI, Aug 25: All Rusa Students Union (RUSA) in collaboration with the Department of Forest, Kanubari Division organized Education and Environment Awareness tour programme in Government Secondary School, Ranglua on Saturday last.
Circle officer, Lawnu Block- Anya Yuwa , Forest Range Officer- O Gao , Ranglua Village chief school staff, students and members of ARSU participated in the programme.
Addressing the gathering, CO Lawnu appreciated the ARSU members for organizing such an important event. Besides our academic activities, it is very much important to take care of our environment’ she added.
Speaking on the occasion RFO, O Gao assured the ARSU members to extend all possible help in their endeavours to create awareness on the protection of the environment.
Earlier, General Secretary ARSU,Heyngam Arangham informed that programme was been organized as a part of their four days long Education and Environment Awareness Tour Programme which started since 21st August last. ‘We have visited different schools under Kanubari circle and organized a similar programme on Education and Environment,' he added.
As a part of an awareness programme, members also planted sapling in and around the school campus.
