YUPIA, Nov 1: The All Doimukh Tata Mobile and Carriage Tempo Welfare Association has called upon the Papum Pare deputy commissioner to create a parking lot at the Doimukh area for its members to park their vehicles.
Members of the association led by All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation (AAPPTF), President Dobing Sonam, on Friday, met deputy commissioner Pige Ligu at his office here and submitted a representation in which they apprised the latter on the hardships, the commercial vehicle owners and drivers are facing due to the lack of a proper parking area.
“We have around 46 Tata Mobiles and a large number of tempos which ply on the roads on a daily basis for public convenience, however, we have no place to park our vehicles,” the members apprised the DC.
Meanwhile, Sonam later informed that, acknowledging the appeal, the DC directed the sub-divisional officer and district transport officer to carry out a recce and find a suitable area for the same.
The SDO and DTO have accordingly identified a few places and assured to come up with a parking place soon, Sonam informed.
