ITANAGAR, Mar 7: The All Desali Area Youth Association (ADAYA) on Monday drew the attention of the State Vigilance Commission towards alleged mismanagement of development funds sanctioned for reconstruction cum realignment of Hunli-Desali road and computers for Government Secondary School, Desali.
In a press conference, President, ADAYA Oskar Mega alleged that fund to a tune of 1739.65 lakh meant for construction of 23km stretch of road from Hunli to Desali approved on March 2012 under RIDF-XII funded by NABARD is being misused without completion of work.
He said that the executing party left the road work incomplete by renovating a stretch of 10km only out of the 23km which is now lying in deplorable condition as it was earlier.
Informing that following an appeal by the public, High Court has ordered for a probe in the matter, Oskar requested the Commission to carry out the investigation immediately.
He further drew the attention of the SVC towards embezzlement of funds sanctioned for distributing computers to Government Secondary, School Desali during 2007-2008 and 2012-2013 and called for investigating it too.
