ITANAGAR, May 3:  In another breach of the Supreme Court Order for maintaining status quo, Assam Forest official entered Arunachal boundary in Taraso circle of Papumpare and destroyed rubber plantations.
Speaking about the incident, Circle officer Taraso, Rome Mele informed that Sunday morning Assam forest official along with police intruded into the boundary of Arunachal near Ramghat, Taraso circle of Papumpare district. 
'They came with at least 17 vehicles and earthmovers (JCB) claiming that some illegal logging and encroachment are taking place in the area. However, the area falls under Arunachal territory,' informed the Circle Officer.
He further added that his office has already seized the logs a few days back after getting reports of the illegal loggings. 
'I had issued a notice to avoid any activities near the boundary areas as per the Supreme Court Order,' added the CO.
I have asked the Assam official to maintain the status quo and informed the concern office of its counterpart before going for any action in the boundary areas to avoid any untoward incident’ stated CO.
Meanwhile, Superintendent of police Papumpare informed that situation is under control and required measures have been taken.
