ITANAGAR, Jun 7:Two days training of trainers for District Nodal officer DANO & District Community Mobilizer commenced today.
Trained officials will roll out the training in their respective districts and impart the training to ASHAs to prepare them to handle any emergency during natural disasters. The participants will be trained on how to act as an emergency responder and provide first aid.
“Every life is precious we should put our best effort to save every single life” stated Dr Tapasya Raghav , Mission Director National Health Mission addressing the participants.
Urging the participants to take the training seriously, she said ‘During monsoon season natural disaster leave a trail of suffering and results in injury and fatality due to need of emergency medical aid. To thwart such situation we need to adopt precautionary preparatory and preventive measure and give necessary capacity building to ASHAs to prepare them to handle such situations,’ she added.
Nodal officer (NHM) Dr D Padung said, ASHAs being a part of the community can play active role in bringing normalcy to any situation being trained on health issue and therefore, it is pertinent that ASHAs of District and Block are trained properly. Divulging more on the training, he informed that during the two days they will be trained on mapping the vulnerable and ensuring access to relief measure and other preventive healthcare during disasters.
