ITANAGAR, Dec 31: The Arunachal Wushu team bagged 4 golds and 1 silver in the recently concluded 28th Senior National Wushu Championship played at Jammu University, Jammu & Kashmir from December 26-31.
In a very notable performance, debutant  Nyeman Wangsu in the senior division of Wushu Taolu, Chanquan, Daoshu & Gunshu event in the women category bagged 3 gold medals by defeating all the defending champions with huge margin of score, previously such feat by an individual player was only achieved by the elite Manipuri players in India.
In below 52 kg Wushu Sanda, Onilu Tega won gold while Mepung Lamgu won a silver medal in the women events.
The Arunachal team was led by Coach M Premchandra Singh SLSA. AAPWA President Toko Teki has congratulated the team for qualifying for the upcoming National Games to be held in Goa next year.
