ITANAGAR, Jan 8: East Zone Khelo India Wushu Women’s League ‘2024 (ASMITA), recently concluded at SAI STC Centre, Kokrajhar, Assam on January 6 last.  Apart from eight North Eastern States, West Bengal and Bihar also participated in the tournament.
Arunachal Pradesh won a total of 10 medals (4 Gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze) in the Senior, Junior and Sub-Junior Categories respectively.
In the Senior Category: Nyeman Wangsu (Gold in Changquan), Yorna Rosni (Gold in Nandao), Mercy Ngaimong (Gold in Jianshu), Realu Boo (Silver in Taijiquan), Gyamar Yatup (Silver in 48 Kg Sanda) and Gyamar Kana (Bronze in Nanquan).
In the Junior Category: Chera Loku (Gold in Taijijian) and Techi Natum (Bronze in Taijiquan).
And in the Sub-Junior Category: Yani Eru (Silver in Changquan) and Yage Bagang (Bronze in Nanquan).
The Arunachal team was led by Ganesh Das and Sarat Sonowal as Coach and Manager.
All Arunachal Pradesh Wushu Association (AAPWA), President, Tach Tadar lauded the team for their excellent performance and encouraged them to practice harder for the upcoming National Level  Khelo India Wushu Women’s League 2024.
