ITANAGAR, May 4: People in remote areas in the state may soon experience enhanced public healthcare services as the state government on Monday decided to upgrade all PHCs, CHCs, and Hospitals in the state.
This was informed by Chief Secretary, Naresh Kumar, who announced that all hospitals across the state would be modernized and equipped with better healthcare facilities to ensure swifter and better healthcare service delivery.
Kumar said that the state government felt the need to modernize all government hospitals across the state so that the state would be able to deal with pandemics like COVID-19 or other such diseases in the future.
Giving the breakdown, Kumar said that community health centers (CHCs) and Primary  Health Center (PHCs) set up in the newly created districts Kamle, Shi-Yomi, Leparada, Pakke Kesang, etc would be equipped with modern healthcare facilities within six months.
