ITANAGAR, Oct 8: A 22-member State Badminton including 20 players and 2 officials on Monday left for Nagaland to participate the upcoming Inter-State North East Zonal Badminton Championship-2018 scheduled to be held at Dimapur from October 10. The Arunachalee team includes, Akshay Raito, Ambita Sonam, Biki Lakai, Rahul Thapa, David, Ngomle, Pinky Karki, Laa Yajum, Taring Yania, Tania Yasap and Apali Mega who would represent the State in the senior’s category while the junior’s category would be represented by Laa Tukum, Sonam Tamang, Raj Thapa, Kenjom Tacha, Raja Gupta, Dolma Tamang, Kapu Rumi, Takio Puna, Taring Yapi and Kenbi Riram.
The team is being accompanied by Nich Bapu and Gita Karki as manager and coach respectively.
 Meanwhile, wishing the player success for the coveted tournament, Arunachal State Badminton Association secretary Bamang Tago and joint secretary Penya Bagra asked the players to maintain strict discipline throughout the tournament. The Inter-State North East Zonal Badminton Championship is a Badminton Association of India calendar event. The champions of the zonal competition would complete in the national level.
The 4-day Championship which is being organized by the Nagaland Badminton Association (NBA) will conclude on October 13 next.
