ITANAGAR, Jun 14: Arunachal Pradesh has reached the quarter finals of the Hero Sub Junior (Girls) National Football Championship-2019 for the first time currently being conducted at Cuttack, Odisha.
Arunachal reached the knock-out stage after thrashing Andhra Pradesh 11-1 in their last group stage match today, informed the Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh Football Association, Kipa Ajay.
Continuing with their winning streak, the state’s girls had defeated Mizoram 3-1 and Himachal Pradesh 4-0 in their other group matches. “Morale and confidence in the girls is very high and we are all ready for the quarter finals. I am pretty positive to achieve more good results in coming matches,” Ajay added.
The team will take on Tamil Nadu in the much awaited match which will be played on June 16. APFA Press Release
