ITANAGAR, Dec 8: In the ongoing Hero Sub Jr. National Football Championship being played at R.G Stadium, Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh became the first team to qualify for the Semi Finals by defeating Tamil Nadu 9-1 in a Pool-A match. Pravin Dorjee scored four goals in the3rd, 66th, 75th and 79th minute of the match while Kenjey Lepcha scored brace in the 6th and 71st minute for Arunachal. Heri Rambo (49’) Swarneem (73’) and Gyamar Nikum (82’) also scored for the winning side. A lone consolation goal for Tamil Nadu came through Kishore R.A in the 70th minute. Second match of the day played between Odisha and Punjab ended in a 1-1 draw. Punjab took the lead through Seilenthang Lotjem’s goal in the first half. Odisha came back strong in the second half and Ajay Toppo converted a well taken penalty to equalize.
