ITANAGAR, Aug 25: For the first time, print, electronic and digital media owners of the state came together and held daylong deliberation post which the Arunachal Publishers & Broadcasters Guild (APBG) was formed to look after the common interest of all the media houses.
Besides the formation of the Guild, the house also deliberated on important issues such as Majithia Wage Board, DIPR policy, outstanding advertisement payments etc. The members also discussed problems and ways to help iron out glitches and work towards a more vibrant work environment. All media houses also agreed on adopting an ‘anti-poaching’ stance to ensure congenial atmosphere.
Following founding members were unanimously selected as President Chopa Cheda, Vice President JT Tagam, General Secretary Mibom Dai and Media Secretary Kenter Joya Riba. Furthermore Nani Kojin and Jarpum Gamlin will assist the Guild as Advisors.
