ITANAGAR, Mar 25:

 

Union Minister of State for Home, Kiren Rijiju emphasized on making Arunachal all season destination and called for a fresh roadmap to strengthen the travel and tourism industry in the Arunachal.

Applauding the efforts of the Department of Tourism in recognizing and acknowledging the leaders of the travel and tourism industry, media etc, Rijiju said “We should appreciate the best in the industry, which helps to take incredible Arunachal Pradesh to the far corners of the world. We must strike to make Arunachal all season Destination.

He was speaking as Chief Guest on the first ever one day Arunachal Tourism Conclave organized at The Leela Palace, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi which successfully concluded today.

 

Secretary (Tourism & Planning), Dr. Joram Beda exhibited a brief power point presentation on investment potentials in destinations. He informed the delegates that despite all odds faced by the state, there has been a tremendous increase in the domestic as well as international tourist inflow during the last five years. Furthermore, he also enlightened the various initiatives taken by the state government like CMPVY, facilitation of PAP/RAP & other schemes which have been playing a major in encouraging the overall tourism of the state.

The event was a success and there was a huge participation of different tourism & hospitality industries, media personnel, travel bloggers, and curious tourists. The conclave also provided a platform for the clarification of doubts and other queries which were raised by the participants related to tourism.

At the sidelines of the program, the department of Tourism has also signed MoUs with Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), National Film Development Corporation, Fly Wings, MakeMy Trip, etc. at the Conclave.

Member of Parliament, Ninong Ering also attended the program.
