Itanagar, Feb 12: A three-day intensive Cyber Security Awareness Programme for police personnel of Arunachal Pradesh began at the Administrative Training Institute(ATI) in collaboration with the National Institute of Smart Government (NISG). The program, which began today is set to equip participants with vital knowledge and skills essential for combating cyber threats effectively.
The training program encompasses a diverse range of topics crucial for understanding and addressing contemporary cyber threats. Sessions will cover an overview of cybercrime investigation and standard operating procedures, open-source intelligence, social media and financial crimes, online scams, investigation of web-related crimes, PSTN call-based investigation, live forensics, forensic imaging, Windows forensics, and cryptos. 26 police officials are attending the programme.
Distinguished speakers, including Narendra Dahiya, Senior Manager at NISG, along with guest faculties Amolak Singh and Sandeep Mudalkar, are set to share their extensive expertise and insights in the field of cyber security.
Amolak Singh brings a wealth of experience in Digital Forensics and Blockchain technology, with over 25 years of experience in the IT and security domain. He has held CXO-level positions in various corporate and multinational organizations and is a renowned author with two decades of experience in cyber security.
Sandeep Mudalkar, renowned as one of the country's pioneer Information Security and Cyber Crime Consultants, brings his dynamic personality and extensive experience to the program. He has played a pivotal role in solving complex cybercrime cases and raising awareness about information security and cyber threats.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of Pate Marik, Director of the Administrative Training Institute, who highlighted the significance of such initiatives in bolstering the capabilities of law enforcement personnel in tackling cyber threats effectively.
This collaboration between ATI and NISG underscores the commitment to enhancing cyber security awareness and capabilities among police personnel, thereby reinforcing the safety and security of Arunachal Pradesh in the digital age, Marik said.
