ITANAGAR, Oct 4: Taking poetry to a new level, Arunachalee poet Subi Taba, and author of Dear Bohemian Man was the only Indian poet to attend the Rhodes Poetry Retreat 2018 among a core group of poets from Australia, New Zealand and USA held in a small Greek village, Monolithos in Rhodes Island in Greece.
The poetry and writing workshop is an annual event facilitated by Luka Lesson, a spoken word and rap artist of Greek heritage from Australia and an Australian Poetry Slam champion. The event is designed to give poets from around the world writing space to soak up Greek culture, teach history of the ancient western medieval civilizations and visit to ancient archaeological sites for digging lyrical fossils for writing. 
The seven-day workshop discussed Greek literature, performance techniques and role of poetry in the society and culture. 
Subi Taba wrote and performed a poem, "Meetings and Departures" inspired by Homer's poem Odyssey at the end of the workshop which was concluded by  poetry performances by all the participating poets.
