Khonsa, Mar 4: Arunachal’s Laatwang Kamhua, a permanent resident of New Kothin village, Tirap district, clinched the gold medal in the 48kg category at the Russian Moscow Stars International Wushu Championship 2024. The championship, being held in Moscow from February 28 to March 5, witnessed Kamhua’s outstanding performance, marking his inaugural triumph in an international arena.
Laatwang Kamhua's remarkable feat not only brings honor to India but also highlights Arunachal Pradesh's contribution to the global martial arts community.
Notably, Kamhua had previously secured a gold medal during the 64th National School Games 2018-19 Wushu Boys U17 event held in Delhi.
