ITANAGAR, Nov 27: The Second Edition of Arunachal Literature Festival organized by Department of Information and Public Relations in collaboration with Arunachal Pradesh Literature Society, Itanagar unfolded as a platform for live exchanges on wide range of issues by galaxy of writers, poets and authors across the country and abroad today at Dorjee Khandu Convention Center, Itanagar. The 3 day long festival opened up book exhibition, panel discussion, poetry recitation, painting competition and conversation sessions with favorite authors.
Attending the inaugural day as the chief guest, Minister PHED & WS Wangki Lowang said that literary movement should grow from strength to strength to infuse that sense of love for literature among the young generation and students union and clan based organizations mushrooming in the state need to keep focus on this aspect. We have orally transmitted literature barring few tribes which have their own script and onus lies with the writers and members of the literary society to bring them in the form of books.  The Minister also released the Souvenir of the Litfest 2019.
Speaking on the occasion as the Guest of Honour, Shri Ashok Ferrey, the Best Selling Srilankan Novelist said that there is something within us but we fail to recognize it and we can extract when we open up to opportunities that come in our way. 
The Secretary IPR Shri Himanshu Gupta disclosed said that the festival is celebrated to imbibe literary taste among the people. The Festival Director Shri Denhang Bosai extended his gratitude to one and all for making the event a successful one.
The session in Ampitheatre1 chaired by Anuja Chauhan with panelists Ashok Ferrey, Jerry Pinto and Leila Chudori dwelt at length on topic Writer's Responsibility and Samudra Gupta Kashyap with panelists Ramsharan Joshi and Balendu Dwivedi discussed elaborately on Nationalism in present scenario.
In session at Ampitheatre 2 chaired by Dhruba Hazarika with panelist Bhuchung D. Sonam, Samudra Gupta Kashyap threw light on Defining location, nation, ,borders and Beyondâ and Dr. M. Venkateswar in chair with panelist Prakash Mishra, Chandrakannta Mura Singh and Lalnungthangi Chhangte presented a lively discussion on North- East as a different genre. DIPRO
