TUTING, Feb 9: Chief Minister Pema Khandu along with Lok Sabha MP Tapir Gao, Health Minister Alo Libang, BJP State Vice President Tame Phassang and a host of MLAs undertook a 2-day visit here in Upper Siang district.
MLAs of Lumla-Jambey Tashi, Tawang-Tsering Tashi, Dirang- Phurpa Tsering, Kalaktang-Dorjee Wangdi Kharma, Boleng-Ojing Tasing and Bomdila-Dongru Siongju accompanied the Chief Minister. On arrival, the team was given a rousing reception by the local people. Attending a public meeting, Khandu said that Tuting is going to witness a huge increase in tourist footfalls as the place is an important Buddhist site and pilgrimage centre also popularly known as “Pemakod” which is blessed by Guru Padmasambhava and is considered one of the most sacred places for spiritual practitioners.  He also informed that Arunachal is witnessing a significant jump in revenue collection which in the coming budget is expected to touch Rs 2500 Cr, adding that the state has also recorded the highest percentage jump in GST collection in the entire country. He further divulged that Arunachal is also the highest receiver of share of states in central taxes under the 15th Finance Commission (FC) recommendations and is a top gainer in the country with 28.5% jump in share. Chief Minister handed out appreciation letter to 23rd Battalion of Grenadiers for vigilantly guarding the international borders in Tuting sector of LAC and also for extending valuable help and assistance to the civil administration and the local population. 
On second day, he took part in Tenzhug offering (long-life ceremony) to His Eminence Khen Rinpoche of Nye Sang Dho Ngak Jangchub Dargyelling Monastery. CMO
