Cuttack, Jun 20: Although it was heartbreaking for the state, Arunachal Sub Junior Girls Football team still made the day historic by bagging silver medal in the Hero Sub Jr. Girls National Football Championship 2019 which concluded here today.
Arunachal girls could not cross the final hurdle of the competition and lost to a much stronger opponent, Jharkhand 0-4 in the final. Congratulating the players and Head Coach, Kipa Bharat, Secretary, Arunachal Pradesh Football Association Kipa Ajay said “We are very proud of our girls and the coach and the way our girls have performed throughout the tournament and made the state proud in the national platform has been extraordinary. It is a very big achievement for all of us that we finished in second place of this prestigious championship.” We are sure, this historic feat will inspire many, he added.
