ITANAGAR, Sep 14:Arunachal Football has reached another mile stone as Achom Degio got selected in the final squad of Indian Jr. Women’s National Football Team for the upcoming SAFF U-18 Women’s Football Championship to be held in Thimphu, Bhutan from September 27 next.
She has been training with the national team in SAI, Patiala, Punjab since 5th of September.

“Fantastic news for all of whole football fraternity of the state. Her achievement has opened the door for many girls to believe in their dreams and put forward efforts to achieve them. We congratulate her on this marvelous feat,” said Kipa Ajay, secretary of Arunachal Pradesh Football Association. 

Further he congratulated Kipa Takum and Kipa Bharat the Chairman and Coach of Capital Complex Football Club where Achom plays her professional football and lauded their work for the betterment of Women’s Football scene in the state.

“So happy with Achom’s achievement. She is the second girl from CCFC to represent India in International stages after Techi Amin who played for the country in U-14 category. We are glad that efforts put by our club and specialy Kipa Bharat, the head coach of CCFC are getting such results,”  said Kipa Takum, CCFC Chairman. He also hopes that government as well as the corporate houses  of the state will put forward more help to APFA and football clubs to achieve more such feats.
