Pondicherry, Dec 20: Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram ended in a draw in their first match of the Ranji Trophy 2019-20 season played here at the Seichem stadium.
Arunachal Cricket Association (ACA) Vice President Naban Vivek in a press release said that Arunachal for the first time scored 750+ runs in total with 343 and 417 in the first and second innings respectively. An outstanding and unbeaten 203 and 177 runs by Rahul Dalal, well supported by Samarth Seth (88), Techi Neri (56) and Kamsa Yangfo (56) helped in building the mammoth total. Akhliesh Sahani’s 4-wicket haul also helped the team in putting up an overall good show.
Arunachal will be playing 9 matches which will continue till January 2020. Song Tacho is the captain, Sanjeev Sharma the coach and Gollo Taw is the team manager. ACA office bearers have congratulated the team and wished them success in their forthcoming matches.
