ITANAGAR, Feb 21: Entire Arunachal Pradesh plunged into emphatic celebrations on eve of the 34th Statehood Day on Thursday with participation by the District Administrations, public leaders, NGOs, SHGs, teachers, students, business communities, GBs and common people from all walks of life.
In capital, the Statehood Day celebrations got an added dimension with participation by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) DoNER Dr. Jitendra Singh as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively.          Governor Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) presided over the function in presence of          Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Union MoS (Independent Charge) Youth Affairs & Sports Kiren Rijiju, host of current and former MLAs, ministers and a huge gathering of citizens, both from the capital and other parts of the state.         

Extending greetings to the people of the state, Governor conveyed his compliments to the Gaon Burahs, senior citizens, mothers, sisters, daughters, youths, students, police personnel, jawans of armed forces and officials for their unstinted support, cooperation and endeavour in taking the state forward. He said that since May 26, 2014 after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, there has been a welcome change in availability of resources for development of Arunachal Pradesh, adding that earlier, CMs and their cabinet had to go to Delhi to seek funds for welfare and development schemes, but now Union Ministers come to the state instead to offer support for the same. Governor expressed optimism that the Green Field Airport at Holongi and various Hydel Power Projects, all directly related to state’s developmental aspirations which were delayed in past will see signs of swift completion after the Union Ministers’ visits. Later in the afternoon, he gave away the State Awards, Chief Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration-2019 and Chief Minister’s Award for Cleanest Village-2020 and felicitated the members of the cultural troupe from Uttar Pradesh who participated in the Statehood Day celebration under ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ programme.

First Lady Neelam Misra and Chief Minister also visited the exhibition stalls put up by various government departments, art exhibition and flower show.
Meanwhile, as a part of the Statehood Day celebration in capital, winners of the Open Art cum Exhibition and Flower show cum competitions were also announced.
The winners of the Open Art Exhibition were- Nang Sunitthi C Thoomten 1st Prize (Cash award of Rs. 50,000), Ligang August          2nd Prize (Cash Award of          Rs. 30,000) and  Jene Hai & Wangdam Sumnyan (joint)          3rd Prize (Rs. 10,000 each). Winners of the Flower Show cum Competition 2020 were: Ori Tapak Talom, TN & TN Flower (Cash Prize of Rs. 30,000), Nanu Tatak, Yame Nursery, Itanagar (Cash Prize of Rs. 20,000) and          Renu Jerang, Renu Jerang Flower, Itanagar (Cash Prize of Rs. 10,000).
Papum Pare
The 34th Statehood Day was celebrated in Papum Pare district in a befitting manner at Mini Ground Yupia with          Deputy Commissioner Pige Ligu as Chief Guest unfurling the national flag in presence of officers, HoDs, NDRF, ITBP, Police, school children, GBs and general public.
In his address, DC paid tribute to the first generation leaders who have contributed immensely in shaping the state and expressed satisfaction over successful implementation of central and state flagship schemes in the district. While informing that during the current administrative year, DA had organised Sarkar Apke Dwar camps in 10 Circles, he added that under two new flagship programmes in horticulture sector namely CMSKY and Cabinet Committee Infrastructures (CCI) this year, Department of Horticulture has undertaken an area expansion of crop plantation of large cardamom, orange, pineapple, banana, arecanut cum black pepper & Kiwi under CMSKY and orange & banana under CCI, besides introduction of Kiwi cultivation at feasible areas. of Sagalee, Parang, Mengio, Silsango and Leporiang Circles to improve income of local farmers.  He further informed that 475 farmers have been selected for Pig farming this year under Arun-Piggery Development programme in which Government is providing 75% financial aid.         
DC also lauded the health department for their achievements in successful implementation of central and state flagship programmes in last 2 years under supervision of DMO and highlighted the major achievements gained by the department  which includes winning of Kayakalp award under Ayushman Bharat for 2018-19 by CHC Kimin, UPHC Itafort and PHC Tarasso. Benefit distribution under Dulaari Kanya Scheme, PLUS project camps, 103% achievement in Measles Rubella Vaccine Campaign (MRVC), conversion of 8 Primary Health Centres and 15 Sub Centres into Health and Wellness Centres, revamping of non-functional PHCs and Sub Centres, 100% implementation of all schemes and their awareness, full incentivisation and IEC on control and prevention of malaria, dengue, measles, coronavirus were also highlighted by him. 
DC further stated  that under Chief Minister’s Samast Shiksha Yojana which focuses on infrastructure developments in all government schools, out of 197 functional schools, 64 have been prioritized for first phase and 90% of works have been completed and under Chief Minister’s Adhunik Pathsala Yojana and Government Secondary School, Mani under Doimukh Sub-Division had been selected as Model School with 90% construction works already completed. Later, DC also felicitated SMO CHC Balijan Dr Taw Mala, Pharmacist, Sub-Centre Khamir Surojit Gayen, MTS DMO Office Yupia Phukan Terang, L/Ct. Dolang Oni  and Head Constable (Driver) Tsering Dorjee Goiba from Police Station Doimukh with Commendation Certificates for their meritorious services and also gave away prizes to the winners of various categories in  badminton championship conducted on eve of the Statehood Day.         
Colourful traditional cultural items, patriotic songs by lady officers, Dog Show by 12 BN NDRF, free medical camp by Health Department, exhibition stalls by various departments were other highlights of the occasion.         
Meanwhile, the day was also celebrated in a befitting manner at General Ground Mengio where the national tricolour was unfurled by Extra Assistant Commissioner Mengio  Tana Bapu as Chief Guest in presence of officers, school children, GBs and general public. Besides cultural, games and sports activities, awareness campaign on Novel Coronavirus was also conducted by Dr. Jacob and his team of PHC Mengio run by Karuna Trust.
Upper Siang
The day was celebrated at General Ground, Yingkiong with great pomp amidst a huge gathering of common people, public leaders, NGOs, SHG,  officials, teachers, students and GBs.
Unfurling the tricolour, Deputy Commissioner Taper Pada sought cooperation from all to do away the prevailing social evils and works for overall progress of the district and also inaugurated the exhibition stall set up by various departments and SHGs and distributed prizes and certificates to the winners in various fields and competitions.
In the cultural competition, VKV School Yingkiong was adjusted 1st and Nepali cultural troupe 2nd. In the Exhibition Stall category, ICDS Yingkiong stall was declared the best and fire services in collaboration with DDMO Yingkiong 2nd. In archery competition DFO, Yingkiong Annying Boli stood first and Oma Panyang second.
Appointment certificates and Red Coats to the GBs were also given away by DC. Besides the Hqs, Statehood Day was also celebrated in Tuting, Singa, Gelling, Migging, Palling, Jengging, Katan, Geku, Mariyang and Mopom.
West Siang
The main function of the Statehood Day was organised at GHSS Aalo ground in a befitting manner with former Minister Dibang Tatak unfurling the ceremonial flag.
Speaking on the history of attaining full statehood, he exhorted every citizen of the district  to celebrate the day with zeal.  Exhibition stall, cultural display by Ponu parties, school children, musical chairs, blind hit and arrow shooting competition, prize distribution by Deputy Commissioner Swetika Sachan were highlights of the occasion.
East Siang
East Siang joined the rest of the state in celebrating the 34th Statehood Day with fervour at the Pasighat Outdoor Stadium with display of Guard of Honour by the IRBn Jawans. 
The national tricolour was hoisted by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kinny Singh in presence of Pasighat West MLA Ninong Ering, 5th IRBn Commandant Esha Pandey, ADC (Hq) Tatdo Borang, Smart City CEO Sukhvinder Singh, retired bureaucrats, officers, leaders and a large gathering of common people. DC apprised the developmental activities undertaken by the DA administration and appealed the citizens to extend full cooperation in making the district ‘smart’ in all respects. Siluk village was awarded the Cleanest Village (2019) of the district along with three ASHAs namely T. Doke, Y. Ering and B. Tatak for their commendable services to the society. 
Cultural presentations by Siang Ponung Raseng (Airfield), Pasighat Missing Cultural Troupe, IRBn Wives Association and karate demonstration by Pasighat KP Vivekananda Memorial School were other highlights of the celebrations.
Later, a district level Agri-Expo cum Sale Exhibition organized by the district Agriculture department was inaugurated by the MLA.
West Kameng
The 34th Statehood day was celebrated at the district headquarters Bomdila with gusto and fervour.
Speaking on various developmental activities the district witnessed since inception of statehood, Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki reiterated that maintenance of law and order would accelerate the pace of development further. Underscoring the importance of cleanliness, DC appealed the public to cooperate in forthcoming panchayat polls and called upon them to actively participate in the census operation. Exhibition stalls were put up to create awareness on census operation and Coronavirus by the departments of Statistics and Health & Family Welfare. Healthy Baby Show was also organized by the department of WCD to commemorate the occasion. Various cultural programmes and sporting events marked the celebration.
‘Letters of Appreciation’ were also given to the team leaders of the responders of ITBP, SSB, BRO, Police, line departments and community volunteers in connection with the mega mock exercise on earthquake held recently in district headquarters.                                                                 
East Kameng
Statehood Day was observed at various places of East Kameng district and for the first time, it was celebrated with huge fanfare at Lada.
8 Bameng MLA Goruk Pordung briefed about the socio-economic developmental activities undertaken in his AC and urged people and officials to work in tandem for all-round development of the district. Along with the celebrations, a ‘Sarkar Aapke Dwar was also organized successfully at Lada with huge number of people taking advantage of facilities provided by the DA and various departments. The programme was inaugurated by Pordung in presence of Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Singh Rajawat, public leaders, GBs and a huge gathering of people. ADC Bameng Tungge Loya, administrative officers and HoDs participated. Thereafter, stalls were visited by the MLA and DC.         
At district headquarters Seppa, the day was celebrated with pomp and gaiety marked with a variety of spectacular activities. ADC Pravimal Abhishek Polumatla summarized the developmental activities and urged the common people and government officials to coordinate for bringing holistic development in the district. Rhythmic dance and cultural display by school children and sporting events were highlights of the day.
Local MLA Tapuk Taku, HoDs, public leaders, school children and officials were present.         
Changlang
News about celebration has come from all over the district. On the occasion a Sarkaar Aapke Dwaar Camp was conducted at Changlang Hq. District Legal Services Authority conducted a legal awareness campaign at Bordumsa on “Arunachal Pradesh Registration of Marriage” in collaboration with Bordumsa Mahila Mandal, while at Hq, DLSA organized a friendly volleyball match between the under-trial prisoners and staff of JMFC Changlang in the premises of Changlang sub-jail.         
Kurung Kumey
Kurung Kumey District Administration celebrated the 34th Statehood Day in a befitting manner at Koloriang with Deputy Commissioner Kento Riba gracing the occasion as Chief Guest.
Display of guard of honour by the police contingent and cultural programme were parts of the celebration. DC while highlighting the developmental activities sought cooperation from all the stakeholders for immediate completion of the Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) from Joram to Koloriang. Inter-Departmental Games/sports and cultural events were conducted at District Headquarter Koloriang and winners were awarded along with attractive cash prizes and certificates.
The Champions Trophy was won by the General Administration Team of Koloriang. The awardees were: Nani Chada PGT GHSS, Koloriang, Bhaskar Pandey TGT GHSS, Leel, Nangram Kabjik PRT GMS, Ampongne, Nangram Kaku TGT GUPS New Bazar and Tadar Choji PRT (ISSE) GPS, Lower Nyapin.
Kra Daadi
Statehood Day was celebrated at General Ground, Palin with unfurling of the tricolour by Deputy Commissioner S.Miji, Chief Guest on the occasion.
Later, DC visited the Sarkar Aapke Dwar stalls put up by the line departments and interacted with all stall in-charges to know about the services being provided and launched a signature campaign 'Green Palin, Clean Palin', a joint initiative undertaken by the Department of Urban Development & Housing, Palin Division and DA wherein each signee pledged not to use Single Use Plastics.
Lower Dibang Valley
The day was celebrated at Roing with ADC Tapik Pertin unfurling the national flag amid a gathering of GBs, public leaders, officials, members of Primary Level Federations(PLFs), SHGs, school children and public at the General Ground.
ADC while elaborating the state’s evolution stressed on communal harmony amongst the tribes. The day also saw a cultural dance competition amongst different PLFs and SHGs with the theme of ‘Communal Harmony’ under the Arunachal Rising Campaign(ARC).
Fire fighting display by the district’s fire brigade unit, exhibition stalls by government departments to create awareness on various issues and schemes were added attractions.
Tawang
Chilling cold failed to dampen the 34th Statehood Day mood as people in large numbers assembled at the General Parade Ground in the district hqs. 
DC Sang Phuntsok unfurled the national flag and a ‘Prabhat Pherry’ culminated in the venue. Dwelling on some of the important ongoing developmental activities in the district, he informed that District Administration has conducted 20 Sarkar Apke Dwar camps in the current financial year and 5 more will be conducted. Talking about the dialysis unit in Tawang which was inaugurated by Chief Minister last year, he said 226 dialysis had been done till date and  4008 families have been enrolled under Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana. District Hospital Tawang has recently been empanelled under CMAAY and will cover Gynaecology, Dental, Orthopaedics and Ophthalmology facilities. He further informed that on the initiative of MLA Tawang  Rs 50 lakhs has been sanctioned to cover the farmers of Soma, Khardung, Shernup, Audung and Beikhar villages and under PMKNY and 850 farmers of the district have been benefited and Rs 6000 each has been deposited into their bank accounts. Besides other ongoing developmental activities, DC informed about some major developments like airport survey work, progress of Sela Tunnel, CC Pavement and underground cabling in Tawang township and land for Sainik School in Tawang.  
As per reports, other administrative outposts had also celebrated the day with enthusiasm. In Lungla subdivision headquarters, a mass cleanliness drive marked the occasion. PRO Raj Bhavan, DIPRO
