Reportedly a group of ten college mates had visited Jamduar picnic spot to enjoy the natural scenery. But before dusk when they were at the entrance of a cave on the bank of a river, Kamsi suddenly slipped and fell in the river and got drowned as a result of the water current.

The police in cooperation with SDRF rescue team reached the spot but failed to start rescue operation as dusk had already fallen. It was only next early morning the SDRF started their search operations and at around 11 am recovered the dead body which was then sent to the Shoraibil outpost.
