PASIGHAT, Jun 4: Clarifying on the incorrect showing of one Corona positive case in East Siang of a user in Arogya App , East Siang DC, Dr.Kinny Singh has  informed that through contact tracing by the East Siang DA , it was found that the Corona positive patient from Mumbai  has shared OTP  to a friend in East Siang to help  to login into the person’s Arogya Setu account. As the account was logged in from East Siang, the geolocation of the Covid Positive patient in Mumbai got automatically recorded in East Siang.
To avoid such issues in future, the DC has urged not to share Arogya Setu Login OTP. Asserting that there is no Covid positive case in East Siang till date, DC has urged the people not to panic, combat misinformation and fake news and verify news/information from the Authorized sources. Thanking the cooperation and support of the general  people in the fight against Covid-19, the DC appealed them to continue to  follow social distancing, wearing of masks  while stepping out, regular handwashing and other preventive measures.
She also hailed efforts to fight the virus  by the frontline workers and covid warriors of the District Administration, NGOs and volunteers. DIPRO
