Itanagar, Dec 6: Minister Health and Family Welfare Alo Libang inaugurated the state level Arogya Mela here at IG Park amidst a huge gathering on December 5 last.
Libang while appreciating the Ayush doctors who have been taking care of the PHCs and CHCs in state, assured to  promote and strengthen the Ayush department and allocate 30%  fund for its development. Secretary Health Services Pratiban said the people should take benefits from the mela as consultation will be provided free of cost along with full dispensary facilities. Director NEIA & H Dr.  Pradip Kumar Goswami opined that more medicinal plants should be cultivated in state. DHS Dr. M. Lego and DDHS Ayush Dr. Dusu Laju spoke on the occasion.
Arogya Mela, conducted in collaboration with GoI to showcase the strength and potential of the Ayush system will comprehensively cover the branches of Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Siddha, Yunani, Sowa-Rigpha and Homeopathy and will continue till December 8. DIPRO
