PARSURAM KUND/ TEZU, Jan 10: In a noble gesture, Indian Army from Chowkham battalion of Lohit Brigade (Dao Division) donated six toilets with water and electricity facilities for pilgrims at Parshuram Kund today.
The amenity was inaugurated by the head priest of the Parsuram Kund Seva Trust in a simple but impressive ceremony. Constructed in consonance with Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, these toilets will facilitate a large number of pilgrims and locals who visit the Kund for social, cultural and religious activities. The operational project is handed over to Parshuram Seva Trust, stated a release from Army.
Appreciating the noble efforts of Indian Army, Deputy Commissioner Lohit, Karma Lekhi said ‘ beside their duty in borders , the Indian Army has established good relations with civilians.
