3rd Bharat Lok Sangeet Arunachal Utsav connects with youth
RUPA, Nov 20: The Indian army began its recruitment rally for the youths of Arunachal Pradesh today at Gyaptong Stadium here at Rupa Sub-division under West Kameng.
Altogether, a total of around 800 aspirants from the districts of Lohit, Namsai, Dibang Valley, Lower Dibang Valley, Longding, Tirap, Changlang and Anjaw sweated out in the stadium in their endeavor to out run other potential candidates in the physical tests and make it to the proud Indian Army.
Aspirants from the other districts of Siang, East Siang, Upper Siang, West Siang, Kra Daadi, Lower Subansiri, Upper Subansiri, Kurung Kumey, Papum Pare, East Kameng, West Kameng and Tawang would compete on the second day to make it to the medical examinations scheduled from the third day onwards where further eliminations would be carried out.
Speaking on the sidelines of the rally, Col. M Khan speaking highly of the local administration led by ADC Rupa S Gurung and the district Police for their all out effort in making the rally a successful one said “the administration and the Police have done everything possible in providing the required logistic support for conduct of the rally” and added that ‘such bonhomie between the army and the civilians must continue for a peaceful and progressive society.’
