PASIGHAT, Jun 14: In a humanitarian gesture, Indian Army personnel from Sigar Military Station on Friday organized a voluntary blood donation camp in coordination with Bakin Pertin General Hospital (BPGH) at Sigar Military Station on World Blood Donor Day. The event saw enthusiastic participation of over 150 Indian Army personnel and 60 villagers of Mebo Tehsil. 
During the camp, hemoglobin testing and medical screening of the blood donors was also thoroughly carried out and 57 units of life saving blood were collected. At the culmination of the event the volunteers took an oath to continue supporting such noble cause in the future. This drive not only replenished blood stock but also fostered a spirit of community and goodwill amongst participants.
On this occasion, the army officers informed that it was a part of the larger responsibilities towards the nation building and further assured that Indian Army will remain committed to the well-being of its citizens and being the protectors of the nation with participate in such activities in future too to save precious lives.
