ITANAGAR, Nov 26: On the initiative of the Governor BD Mishra, the officers of Indian Armed Forces ‘Pay Back to Society Group’ are now touring the different parts of Arunachal Pradesh to conduct motivational interaction with the students of schools and colleges to inspire them to inculcate nationalism, positivity and fix up their goals in life.
The officers, who are natives of the state, will be conducting motivational programmes at Aalo and Kamba in West Siang District, Likabali in Lower Siang District, Pasight in East Siang District, Roing in Lower Dibang Valley District, Yingkiong in Upper Siang District, Tezu in Lohit District, Namsai in Namsai District, Changlang in Changlang District, Khonsa in Tirap District, Longding in Longding District, Bomdila in West Kameng District, Tawang, Ziro in Lower Subansiri District, Raga in Kamle District, Daporijo in Upper Subansiri District, Hawai in Anjaw District, Itanagar and Yupia in Papum Pare District.
Led by Major General Jarken Gamlin, AVSM, SM, VSM, 20 officers from Army, 4 from Navy and 3 from Air Force are moving in eight groups to eight different locations. In all each group will conduct a number of programmes to cover all educational institution in the State. The group has set its goal to help enrol 50 officers and 30 Jawans / Sailors / Air warriors in the armed forces in next two years and double the number in next five years.
The programme, which is the flagship of the Governor Mishra is being conducted in coordination with the State education department and the district administration. The mission was launched on 25th November by the Governor in the presence of MoS Home Kiren Rijiju, Chief Secretary Satya Gopal, Secretary Education, Dr. Madhu Rani Teotia, and Group Captain Mohonto Panging (Retd.) at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar. The teams will return to Itanagar on December 2 to brief the Chief Minister about receptivity and efficiency of the programme.
