Itanagar, Oct 15: Assam Rashtra Bhasa Prachar Samiti (ARBPS) on Tuesday felicitated Arunachal Hindi Sansthan's chairman, Takam Sonia for promoting 'Hindi' in the State.
Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi , presented the ARBPS 'Hindi Sewa Samman' award to Sonia during Samiti's 21st convocation on Tuesday in Guwahati.
Among dignitaries present on the occasion were Assam Education Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya and Avnesh Kumar , Director, Directorate of Hindi , Ministry of HRD.
"This is a proud moment for the people of Arunachal Pradesh. Our state is a mini India where 26 major tribes and over 100 sub-tribes are there , also known as Hindi speaking state.Hindi promotional activities is activities of nationalism," Sonia said after receiving the award.
He appealed to people of the state to come forward and work together to promote the national language.
