ITANAGAR, May 5: Arunachal Pradesh Youth Congress (APYC) on Tuesday distributed 5000 face masks and sanitizers to the frontline workers fighting the Covid-19 pandemic and the needy people in and around Capital Complex as a part of the ‘MaskPehnoIndia’ campaign initiated by the Indian Youth Congress.
APYC in a press release stated that it has been carrying out door to door delivery of ration to the needy and is also running a helpline number for the state’s people stranded in various parts of the country. Its State President Geli Ete informed that so far they had helped the state’s needy people in Mumbai as well as in Chennai and Vellore hospitals where blood was arranged for the critical Arunachalee patients with help from Tamil Nadu Youth Congress.
APYC, meanwhile has criticized the central government for taking fares from the stranded labourers of the country despite their endless hardships, halting of DA to government employees and hiking of fuel prices when international crude oil prices are all-time lowest.
